Millennium Leadership Camp

Millennium Development Leadership Program
“Where future leaders are trained today”

 

 Millennum Development Leadership camp has completed up to 15 hours in community service this past july.We have used our green instincts to help protect the animals and help keep Marine Parks Nature Center clean. Our leaders have also reached out to the children at the nature center and made them sno-cones to help cool them off on these hot summer days.

We have visited the Central Park Zoo, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., Ripley's and took a bike ride tour along the green belt and Central Park in N.Y.C. The leadership camp has had the privilege to attend camp day at brooklyn's very own cyclones stadium. To show our appreciation, we decided to help and do a "clean up" under and around the stadium.

The leaders have not only helped to protect our environment, but we have also reached out to the elderly. Millennium Development leaders have made a visit to Sunrise Assisted Living in Sheepshead bay. Our leaders made the seniors friendship braclets, painted seashells, baked cupcakes and cookies, as well as played board games with them.This being one of our favorite events, we will be returning to do arts and crafts with the seniors again.

Summers not over yet, and we many more events planned for August!!
