Fifth-grade students, who took part in the Millennium Development SONYC middle school program this summer, completed a 6-week Emergency Management course. They were seen managing crowd control and distributing FEMA materials at the youth showcase in Marine Park on Wednesday, August 9th.

Our Summer SONYC Middle School Program, along with our Executive Director Paul Curiale- celebrated the ribbon cutting of the brand-new pickleball courts at Marine Park. Thank you for allowing us to be apart of an amazing celebration that will bring fun an excitement to Marine Park. Special thanks to the Brooklyn Parks Commissioner Marty Maher, Pickleball Bob Spieler, and Mike Chaiet for being awesome ambassadors for the game. We can't wait to have out Youth and Older Adult Programs utilize the courts!


Another successful summer at Marine Park Golf Course! Special Thanks to Brooklyn Golf Alliance, Council Member Farah Louis & Councilwoman Mercedes Narcisse! These amazing programs are made possible with the support of leaders like you both. Thank you again! Summer 2023!

Kayaking in Brooklyn with our Older Adults! We are so thankful to NY Parks Department for teaching our Older Adults how to kayak, and allowing them to experience what NY has to offer! Summer 2023!

We are excited to announce that our Abe Stark Steel Pan Band  & Penn Wortman Choir came in 2nd Place in the NYC Department for the Aging- Talent is Timeless Competition! We are so proud of their hard work and dedication! The band  & choir bring a special talent to our centers, we are so lucky to have this amazing programs! Abe Stark Steel Pan Band & Penn Wortman Choir are 1st Place in our hearts!

Thank you to NYC Parks for allowing us to host our Annual Concert in the Park at the Carmine Carro Community Center!

Lastly thank you to the Brooklyn Art Council & The Michael David Band for an amazing performance!

The Brooklyn Walk has raised a total of $45,879 thus far, surpassing the fundraising goal of $45,000!

Team Mill Dev/BBYO was one of the top fundraising teams. We raised $1,623!

Bike Bonanza Huge Success

Thanks to everyone at the Department of Transportation, Bike New York, Mechanical Gardens, and all our staff here at Millennium Development as well as everyone who came out to get a free helmet or swap a bike. We gave out more than six hundred helmets and swapped more than forty bikes.
