2018 Hackathon
At Millennium we are not all about sports and recreation. We have a heavy focus on STEM and Leadership. In 2018, Scholars' Academy hosted a full day Hackathon, where students showcased the coding skills they have learned throughout the year.
2018 DYCD STEP IT UP Finalists
In September 2018, over 1,200 teams in NYC tried out for the DYCD Step It Up Competition. The Scholars' team has secured a spot as one of the top 8 finalists and was able to compete at the finals located at Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) in June 2018. Not only was this competition about the art of stepping, but it also required a social campaign component- our team chose bullying, specifically suicide awareness. We can not be more happy with the work of these young people!
